Joining forces

Social and environmental challenges don’t exist in silos, but in complex systems. The solutions need to recognize that and be holistic. This is too complex for any actor to tackle alone and requires broad cross-sector collaborations. Diverse actors that share a mutual goal can achieve more together than alone.

Silo-busting is key to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The 17 quite different goals are so interconnected and there are synergies between each of them. That’s why we need to stop looking for best practice in silos and work in ecosystems to invent the next practice together. Sprung from our entrepreneurial heritage, it is in our core to disrupt traditional systems through unexpected collaborations. Investing in transparent partnerships with trust is therefore key for us.

Looking at our friends within the Planet Positive and Inclusive Societies ecosystems, it’s pretty obvious that we believe change is best achieved when a diverse group of people join forces and commit to a common agenda to solve complex challenges. For us, that means creating agile ecosystems of individuals, organizations, businesses, and academia sharing a mutual goal.
