To support in the relief after the devastating typhoon “Haiyan” in the Philippines, H&M Foundation has donated $100,000 to back the Red Cross in the initial rescue phase.
In the coming years, the H&M Foundation will address three global issues with the help of half a billion SEK, donated from the Stefan Persson family. Now, the foundation is giving H&M employees and customers the power to decide which three issues to be supported. Starting tomorrow, October 22, everyone can place their vote at makeadifference.hm.com.
In response to the devastating floods in northern India, H&M Foundation has donated USD 100,000 to support Save the Children India’s relief efforts. The money will help finance for instance hygiene kits, water purification tablets, food baskets and warm blankets to 5,000 families in the ten worst-affected villages.
The Persson family donates SEK 500 million to the H&M Foundation, which marks the beginning of the foundation and its work to create positive change for people and communities.
