Five years of change
Global Change Award was initiated in 2015 by the non-profit H&M Foundation. In five years, it has turned into a global ecosystem of change driving the fashion industry towards a sustainable future.
Global Change Award is one of the world’s leading challenges for early stage innovation, and the largest initiative of its kind in the fashion industry. It was initiated in 2015 by the non-profit H&M Foundation to accelerate the shift from a linear to a circular fashion industry.
Ultimately, our aim is to speed up the progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, protecting the planet and our living conditions.
We are looking for tomorrow’s game-changers – ideas that can make a large-scale impact. Each year, an Expert Panel selects five winners from thousands of applications from around the world. Since 2015, we have received more than 20,000 entries from 206 countries and territories. The winning teams share a grant of €1 million and get access to a one-year Innovation Accelerator Program provided by the H&M Foundation, Accenture, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The program supports the winners to scale their innovations and bring them to the market as quickly as possible in order to maximize their impact on the industry.
