UNHCR estimates that up to 4 million refugees may flee Ukraine and support is needed. H&M Foundation is donating USD 100,000 to UNHCR to contribute to their support to people fleeing Ukraine.

Emergency relief to support people in Philippines after Typhoon Rai

On December 16, Typhoon Rai, locally named Odette, hit Philippines with full force. The typhoon brought destruction and hardship to some of the most vulnerable communities in the country. H&M Foundation is donating USD 100,000 to the Red Cross to support the people affected.

H&M Foundation supports India in the battle against COVID-19

India is experiencing a devastating second wave of COVID-19 throughout the country. In response to this, the H&M Foundation is donating USD 100,000 to the Red Cross India contributing to urgent support such as COVID clinics, oxygen cylinders, testing and screening.

USD 100,000 to support Ethiopian refugee children

Thousands of children have fled the full-scale humanitarian crisis in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, and taken refuge in Sudan. More than 45,000 people have fled so far. Conflict always affects children the most, therefore the H&M Foundation is providing emergency relief support to Save the Children. The funds will be used in efforts to reunite children with their families, provide shelter, clean water and education.

USD 100,000 to Red Cross to support the victims of Beirut

The massive blast that devastated parts of Beirut caused many casualties and considerable damage. 300,000 people are estimated to have been displaced from their homes, over 200 people have been reported dead, 6,000 injured and many are still missing. The donation to the Red Cross is focused on first aid, psychosocial support, emergency shelter and related water, sanitation and hygiene services as well as food and other household needs.
