H&M Foundation gives a total donation of USD 200,000 to the Red Cross, to meet the immediate and urgent needs of people affected by the series of tropical cyclones that have devastated areas in Vietnam and the Philippines lately.
The massive blast that devastated parts of Beirut caused many casualties and considerable damage. 300,000 people are estimated to have been displaced from their homes, over 200 people have been reported dead, 6,000 injured and many are still missing. The donation to the Red Cross is focused on first aid, psychosocial support, emergency shelter and related water, sanitation and hygiene services as well as food and other household needs.

As a result, less than a week later more than 1,400 people were killed, 2,500 injured and 70,000 were displaced. In response to this, the H&M Foundation donates USD 100,000 to The Red Cross.
The southern Indian state of Kerala is reeling under one of the worst natural disasters in nearly a century. Heavy monsoon rains have left the state devastated, with landslides and flash floods killing over 370 people the last one month. In response to this, the H&M Foundation is donating 100,000 USD to Save the Children.
The situation in Myanmar and Bangladesh is a humanitarian disaster of historic proportion. In response to the urgent situation, the H&M Foundation is making a second donation to the Red Cross, reaching 223,700 people.
